I was advised to use Lou Macdonald of Team Harcourts by a friend. I met Lou for the first time at my house in the city end of Karori on 10 July. She was very positive about its situation and immediately suggested what needed to be done before Open Home viewing started. She arranged all the contractors needed for roof cleaning, external house wash, inside full clean, water-blasting of the courtyard, paths, retaining wall and decks/verandah. She also arranged a Builder's Report. As a result of the report some repairs were required and Lou had someone doing it immediately. She arranged for staging which was very attractive - resulting in very positive feed back. All this work was done immediately - allowing Open Homes to start on 26 July. Lou's reportage of the Open Homes was very thorough and realistic. As a person with mobility disabilities I needed to have someone arrange all these things and Lou has an amazing team of contractors who seemed to be able to work around each other as required. I had already moved out of the house and was feeling rather anxious about the sale process. Lou's actions made me feel very comfortable, her advice was spot on and the sale went unconditional on 8 August - less than a month after my initial meeting with Lou. Lou also arranged a lawyer for me - as my lawyer was unable to handle the sale. In the current negative real estate situation here in Wellington I had been warned that it could well take some months for a sale to be completed so I am thrilled with this outcome and feel that Lou has done a mega job in a very difficult market situation for sales. I'll be continually grateful to the friend who originally recommended Lou and to Lou herself and her team. I've used Harcourts for my previous real estate requirements and am very pleased I remained with them this time.

What I like the most about her was that treated me like a dear friend of hers, rather than a client. She exceeded all the expectations I had toward an agent. In every single step, from viewing the house, to making an offer, and then to the negotiation process, all the way to the settlement date, she was there to help. She gave me advice, she showed me ways of searching for the information that I need. She made me feel safe and certain about every decision that I made along the way. Honest, kind, caring, helpful and trustworthy; that’s Marie. She is truly a God sent gift. I am very grateful that I met her.
