John helped us buy our current apartment and then sell our previous one, so we got to work with him both as buyers and sellers. He was excellent throughout: friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, supportive, and proactive, and he always kept us up to date. In a word: reliable. Everything felt clear and well handled from start to finish. He and his assistant even coordinated all the renovation work and checked on the flat regularly, allowing us to get on with our usual busy lives. We'd gladly work with him again, which I think says it all.
Seller of 25/23 Tennyson Street, Te Aro
I am not sure this sale was orthodox in anyway as Tommy worked extraordinarily hard and very closely with the a foreign translator as the purchasers English was limited. The degree of communication required was significant, going unconditional was also difficult from perspective that the purchaser did not have prearranged finance which was being sourced from from overseas. This all took additional time and patience. Ultimately we got there. Tommy, certainly was the right guy for us and represented us very well and frequently kept us up to date with progress. Personally, we do feel very lucky that we sold successfully when it comes to the Wellington market situation, we really wanted to sell and with around 250 apartments on the market. It looked unlikely that it would happen however through Tommys focus and perseverance coupled with his professionalism, we can say that we are more than satisfied with the sale and timing having met all expectations.

Jason was fantastic to work with and made the whole home-buying process so much easier than I expected. His communication was excellent throughout -- always quick to respond, proactive, and happy to answer my many questions. His knowledge of the Wellington market was incredibly valuable, and I always felt like I was getting honest, practical advice rather than a sales pitch. What I appreciated most was that he was never pushy or trying to rush me into a decision. He genuinely wanted me to find the right place (and be 100% comfortable with the place I had chosen), and that made all the difference. On top of that, Jason is just a genuinely friendly, down-to-earth guy who's fun to deal with, which made what can be a super stressful process actually enjoyable and smooth. I'd highly recommend him to anyone buying or selling in Wellington -- you'll be in great hands!

If you’re looking for exceptional service, great communication, and knowledge of a property then Gael Van Hattum is your agent. She went above and beyond to get our property deal done in a very short time frame. We can’t thank her enough
Buyer of 12/20 Egmont Street, Te Aro
I had a fantastic experience purchasing my home through Gael and would happily recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell. Throughout the entire process, Gael was professional, responsive, and prompt. She kept me updated every step of the way and was always willing to answer my questions or find the information I needed. Of course Gael was acting on behalf of the vendor, but I did find her to be honest, transparent, and fair. She was open about what she could share and I felt I could rely on her. Her expertise made a real difference to my buying experience. My purchase had an unusual last minute complication due to a code compliance issue on an adjoining unit, essentially blocking our settlement. Despite the extra complexity, Gael managed everything calmly and professionally. She worked with the vendor to present a solution where I could still take possession on the original settlement date, but closing would be on hold until the code certificate was issued next door. Gael's communication regarding the adjoining unit gave me confidence that everything was progressing as it should. Everything turned out fine and we have settled now. Thank you, Gael, for making what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward and well managed. I'm absolutely delighted with my new home and hope to work with you again when the time is right.

Seller of 39/72 Tory Street, Te Aro
Charles was excellent to work with throughout the sale of our apartment. He was proactive with communication, kept us informed at every stage, and was always quick to respond to questions. His advice was straightforward and practical, and he demonstrated a strong understanding of the local market. Most importantly, he sold the property within the price range he originally estimated and achieved a sale within five weeks of listing, which was a great outcome. Charles has a traditional, no-nonsense approach and focuses on getting the job done. We appreciated his professionalism, honesty and consistent communication throughout the process and would recommend him to others selling their property.
Seller of 72/13 College St, Te Aro
We looked around at a few agents before settling on Charles, we wanted someone with knowledge of the market in the area, after a bit of research Charles seemed like a good fit for us. After his first visit, we felt we had made the right choice with him, after he gave realistic advice on the current market, where we should place our desired price and expectations. Charles also gave us solid advice for marketing and open homes, including where we could do reduce overheads and ultimately get the best deal. Charles' level of communication was perfect, giving us updates and feedback when needed, but not spamming us with every tiny detail, when it came down to the details of the sale, he was able to advise what was happening in the market and considerations we should be thinking about in order to get the best price and cleanest offer secured. I would happily use Charles again in the future, and would feel happy recommending him to others.
Seller of 604/166 Victoria St, Te Aro
Charles sold our apartment to us in a no-fuss manner, so we chose him to sell it for us 5-6 years later. We did consider two others at the time and his cost was competitive. The Wellington market was slow for 1 bed apartments but he worked cooperatively with both tenant and letting agent so we had rental income coming in right up to the week of settlement. We heard no complaints from the tenants about the volume of open homes either, and there were plenty. That was where we felt Charles acted for us in the best way. Our income investment kept performing. Charles worked with us to keep the advertising fresh, modifying text and photos as the months ticked by. He knew the new build competition and kept us informed of their price points. We felt that, whilst frustration was building at the time wasting of some prospective buyers, Charlie remained focused, determined and professional. We liked the fact that the price strategy took into account our unique selling proposition so we were not being pushed into a race to the bottom. Trying to sell in a soft market is when a good estate agent shines and Charles did just that and got us an acceptable offer. Charles didn’t stop there. He then worked with the buyer and tenant to ensure the move out/move in days were seamless to us, with no hassle when items were left by the tenant. Our conveyancing solicitor seems quite happy working with Charles too. Overall, we are satisfied with the process and outcome, and so we recommend Charles to sell apartments in the Central Wellington area, even when the market is tough.

We spoke to several estate agents before we chose Ben , Amanda and the team . We loved Ben's enthusiasm , clear explanation while also listening to what was important to us. Communication was frequent and helpful from the whole team . The whole team worked tirelessly right through to the end resulting in a positive outcome. We felt in safe hands confident in the knowledge that Ben not only knew the market, was able to communicate his knowledge while effectively working towards the best outcome for all. I would highly recommend Ben Stevens and the team.

Demetria was absolutely amazing to work with. From the very beginning, she was professional, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping us through the process. She went above and beyond at every step, always reliable and more than happy to answer questions or step in whenever we needed guidance. Buying an apartment can be stressful, but Demetria made the whole experience feel so much more manageable. Her positive energy and calm, reassuring personality made a real difference. She’s honest, down to earth, and someone you can truly trust. We’re so grateful to have had her by our side and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
Seller of B05/10 Ebor Street, Te Aro
She liaised with another Real Estate agent to find a purchaser for an apartment in a building that required seismic strengthening. Provided advice, that proved correct, not to go to the market when the purchaser was unable to raise the required funds. Six months later was able to link up with the earlier prospective purchaser through her contacts resulting in a contract to sell. The sale was successful although there were a number of difficulties along the way that she provided help to resolve. I would employ Kate again and recommend her to others.
