A determined agent in a soft property market

Charles sold our apartment to us in a no-fuss manner, so we chose him to sell it for us 5-6 years later. We did consider two others at the time and his cost was competitive. The Wellington market was slow for 1 bed apartments but he worked cooperatively with both tenant and letting agent so we had rental income coming in right up to the week of settlement. We heard no complaints from the tenants about the volume of open homes either, and there were plenty. That was where we felt Charles acted for us in the best way. Our income investment kept performing. Charles worked with us to keep the advertising fresh, modifying text and photos as the months ticked by. He knew the new build competition and kept us informed of their price points. Trying to sell in a soft market is when a good estate agent shines and Charles did just that and got us an acceptable offer. Charles didn’t stop there. He then worked with the buyer and tenant to ensure the move out/move in days were seamless to us, with no hassle when items were left by the tenant. Our conveyancing solicitor seems quite happy working with Charles too. Overall, we are satisfied with the process and outcome, and so we recommend Charles to sell apartments in the Central Wellington area, even when the market is tough.
