Genuine, personable, down-to-earth agent that works hard for his clients
When visiting the open home, Rod remembered us from previous interactions and greeted us warmly and personably. He took the time to explain the various attributes of the property and was able to answer most of our questions. Answers to follow up questions were provided by email. He continued to be engaging throughout our multiple visits to the property.
As a buyer, we made Rod’s job easy by showing our high level of interest early, and giving him the opportunity to appraise our exisitng property, which validated our status as serious buyers. The auction experience was the lowlight of the experience, with vendor expectations mis-aligned to previous guidance. This challenge was exacerbated in the post auction negotaitons by Rod being excluded to allow the other agent to manage the process. For us, we had built our trust and rapport with Rod and believe he should have been in the room with us.
The negotiation process was prolonged but Rod kept us well informed at each iteration. It was nice receiving the call from Rod upon reaching agreement on the purchase terms.
