These are difficult times to sell a house in Auckland but we were supported very professionally every step of the way: Robert took care of making sure things around the house looked pristine, Alison and Ivy in their level headed way presented the house super professionally so we ended up with several offers. They strike the right balance to be honest to the buyer and build trust and still present the house most favourably. In the end when things got more technical (building inspection etc) it was critical to have a team that is very competent in all matters of selling a house i.e. presenting good evidence of the house features. Our experience with Josh was excellent from start to finish and we would certainly recommend him to others. He's a friendly and approachable guy, had excellent knowledge, but most importantly was honest and genuine. When dealing with us as buyers, he left nothing to chance and was both engaged and transparent the whole way through. He didn't miss a beat with everything that was asked during the process, even as things progressed into the detailed and sometimes complex final stages of the deal. We recently PURCHASED our new family home from Charlotte Powdrell of UP Real Estate, I can honestly say that it was her follow through that resulted in the sale. We looked for some time for the right home and have dealt with many sellers agents in this purchase (and others before). In 2022 especially, the majority of sellers agents seemed to have 'a take it or leave it' approach, perhaps left over from the sellers market of a few years ago, but not Charlotte. As the buyers, Charlotte effectively moved the momentum away from our alternative choice. As the listing agent she was diligent and kept coming back to us about an Open Home we'd viewed and our needs. When the owners accepted the need to adjust to the market, it was her direct efforts from keeping that communication open which caused us to take another look, delay an offer on another property and address our pre-auction concerns. She made sure we were focused on her listing as our new home, making the other two comparable options our second choices. Charlotte threaded her way through a challenging post auction negotiation and made the follow-through process smooth for us as the buyers. From the buyer's perspective, Charlotte didn't come across aggressive or pushy; she was proactive and helpful, did what she said, when she said and stayed in contact.
