Deb was uncontactable the morning of settlement (told me later she does not take her phone to appraisals). Difficulty getting keys after settlement - turned out the sellers had not completed moving out and were not at property (which was locked) when I went around. Deb said this happens quite often! I had arranged people to help me move who took time off work and were inconvenienced. As I am elderly and unwell a simple phone call to me or her office - who also could not contact her or find the keys - to let us know what was going on would have avoided a lot of stress and upset. I understand Deb works for the seller and I am sure she was very good but I feel the buyer should not be completely discarded as soon as we pay. As no apology was offered I assume this must be normal real estate practice.
