We had the property on the market for 6 months without any real interest. The newspaper advertising probably had negligible impact, the Open Homes produced no genuine buyers, the market in Auckland in our price bracket is clearly difficult. This was after we were led to believe the house was special & would appeal. We were fortunate an offshore buyer saw the advertisement on line & through a Buyer's Agent bought the house. The price was about 25% below expectation & 10% below RV, That is the Market! The Wallaces are all lovely people & lovely to deal with, its just "Hard swimming up the Rhine"!

I worked with both Sam and Andrew during the process of buying a new place and selling my own. I predominantly worked with Sam but was great to know Andrew was also available if required. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and real. I never thought I was being sold anything. Was never put under any pressure to make decisions and he did a great job at managing my expectations and preparing me for all potential outcomes. We had sold half a dozen properties in Australia previously but not through tender, which is what was recommended. The Wallaces had suggested this method as there was some time pressure and also having 2 little kids it was a challenge to have too many open homes. We agreed with their approach and got the result we were after. Throughout the process there was regular communication which we felt was genuine and honest which is critical when going through a property sale. They are clearly an experienced team. The final offer of the buyer was significantly above their first which indicates a strong negotiating process from the Wallaces. Overall it was probably not the best time to sell but we were very happy with result and felt the Wallaces could not have done a better job.
