Although it wasn't officially an 'open home' viewing, Michelle happened to be in the house I was interested in as I was passing by, and she invited me to look around. During this time she clearly explained the benefits of the house like its double glazing, how it meets Healthy Home standards, and relevant covenants, before allowing me time to look around. Michelle then invited me to look through another nearby house she had on the books, before asking if I'd like to look through the first house again, and then got papers with useful information for me to take away. It was almost 4.30 in the afternoon, and I appreciate the hassle it must be to unlock and then re-secure houses, but Michelle was happy to do this. The next day I went to the advertised open home and Michelle was very hospitable to the family I brought along, whose house had been built by Michelle's father years ago. Things moved very quickly after I first viewed the house, with other offers received. I particularly appreciated Michelle's willingness to go the extra mile - quite literally, driving to my current address to let me know urgent news about the purchase. That evening she waited until almost 7pm at the Harcourts office as I signed paperwork. Michelle kept in touch throughout the purchase process and as I worked to obtain finance. She also was able to name a few legal firms working in this area, which was helpful as I was a first home buyer unaware of the process. I appreciated how quickly she was able to get information, whether straightforward questions about where the Chorus fibre connection is located or more complex queries about the covenant, always clearly explaining the process. What I appreciate most about Michelle is that she isn’t 'pushy' but provides useful and timely information. Michelle has built a good rapport and said she will pop-in to say hello in the next few weeks when she's in the area. I'm looking forward to showing Michelle through the house this time round!
