I was looking for buying my first home in Wellington. As a first home buyer, I have visited multiple properties hosted by Team Butcher and was full of queries. All the agents of Team Butcher I have met was very friendly and helpful. I met Chris Ingram, who have helped me through the entire process, at a open home for the property. He had welcomed me with a smile and explained patiently about the details of the the property. He was very professional through the entire buying process. He had scheduled meetings at later hours to suit my busy work schedule. There are multiple instances where he had to chase the vendor or their solicitor to get the things in motion and he was excellent at it. Chris have cleared all my queries with great patience and explained me the process to the core details. He encouraged me in asking questions and clearing all my doubts as he said - "It's always good to ask questions and clear everything and there are never too many questions". He was honest and straight about answering my question, which also installed a sense of confidence in me. His friendly nature and eagerness to help is something that always stand out. There was a time when I had to postpone the date of putting the offer by few days, as I was sorting out my finances. Chris was very patient and supported me to get it done. He made me feel comfortable and gave me a good idea of the amount/percentage of money needed at each stage of the process and how I can manage it in the best way. Paul was the one who showed us the house. That was my first time viewing a house to buy. He explained the complex process of buying a house as simply as possible. We shocked hands and then I left. The following processes were handled by Chris. Chris was very helpful and responsive. He gave straight answers to my questions without making me more confused. They are both very professional. Graeme and I really enjoyed Lorraine's perseverance to sell our uniquely different home in what is currently a very difficult market to sell in. We have lived in our home ever since we got married 30 years ago and spent many years renovating our home to create a place for our family and friends to enjoy and we thought we would never leave. It is only because now that the children have all left home and we are looking to do different things as we head into our retirement we have decided to move out of the Area. It took a lot of courage for us to sell our loved family home but knew it was time to make a change. Lorraine knew how much we loved our home and that it was going to be heart wrenching for us to sell. She always made us feel that our home would be loved by someone else as much as we loved it including our spiral staircase which I will miss!! Lorraine and I had many laughs over our staircase but it is just one of the many unique features of our home. Our children loved our home so much that when we went to sell we had to check in with them that they were okay about that! Lorraine was there every weekend to show people through our home and always took the time to chat about what we had been doing during the week and would ask us about our family. As the months dragged on and we thought we would miss out on our next dream home she was always positive with us that everything would work out and it did. She always went the extra mile and when we went overseas for a month she called our neighbour to help her look for our family cat who is over 17 years and had gone missing. We knew that when we were a long way away our house and family pets including our sheep were in safe hands!! We are thrilled that after 6 months our home finally sold and will miss our weekly chats with Lorraine before and after our open home. Lorraine really knows the market, is very professional, easy to get along with and highly recommend her if you want to sell your home.
