Matt was excellent to work with - he kept me updated all the way through and worked to update the sales strategy when needed. When the market was hard he persevered and made sure that we still got a sale and the best possible price. I’d 100% use him again and recommend!

We have recently returned to NZ and bought our new home through Jono at Harcourts Holmwood, we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience working with Jono. Having bought and sold houses across both NZ and Australia, we’ve appreciate the pressure that all parties face in this process and the support agents can provide, but Jono really stood out as the best we have come across. Jono was exceptional to deal with from day one, easy to talk to, genuine, and always kept things clear and straightforward. What we appreciated most was his honesty and ethical approach to the process. There was no spin or pressure, just genuine, helpful support throughout. Jono carried himself with a lot of humility and integrity, which made the whole process feel a lot more comfortable and trustworthy, which helped in our decision making process. You could tell he genuinely cared about doing the right thing for everyone involved. We absolutely recommend Jono to anyone buying or selling, he’s a great guy who does things the right way.

Our experience purchasing a property off-market through Liz at Harcourts Holmwood was extremely disappointing. Initially, communication was good and everything seemed to be progressing smoothly. However, as soon as the agreement went unconditional, the level of service changed completely. Calls were ignored, questions went unanswered, and it became very difficult to get any meaningful response. At one stage, we were forced to cancel the agreement because the agent decided not to follow through on commitments that had been agreed to prior to going unconditional. During our pre-settlement inspection, we raised several concerns about the condition of the property. The response we repeatedly received was essentially "it is what it is." Damaged walls had been left behind by the previous owner, and despite raising the issue, we were told nothing could be done. The agent had also agreed to have all carpets professionally cleaned before settlement. Instead, only the lounge area appeared to have been cleaned, leaving visible wet marks and rest wasn't even vacuumed. When we requested an invoice to confirm the work completed, we received no response. To make matters worse, the cooktop began malfunctioning within a month of settlement. After performing a hard reset, it worked temporarily before failing again a few weeks later. Given the circumstances, we believe the issue may have been known prior to settlement and temporarily reset to appear functional. When we raised our concerns, the response was once again dismissive and unhelpful. The complete lack of support after the agreement became unconditional, combined with the dismissive attitude toward legitimate concerns, made this a very frustrating experience. We are extremely dissatisfied with the service we received from Liz and Harcourts Holmwood and would not recommend them to anyone purchasing a property. Buyers should be very cautious and ensure that every promise is documented and verified before going unconditional.

We live out of Christchurch but recently engaged Miranda to sell a property we own there, as we are moving to Australia. We were worried about being able to sell our property in a really tough competitive market but throughout the process Miranda helped us to remain optimistic and left no stone unturned all the way through the process. Even when challenges cropped up (e.g. the first buyers finance fell through) Miranda rolled up her sleeves and remained focused and always had a plan for what we could do next. Miranda is superb in the way that she both gets the business done but also prioritises relationships; she also has an incredible team member, Nadine, who is efficient and wonderful to work with - always making sure the paperwork side of things is in order. We only wish Miranda lived in the city we're moving to now so that we could work with her again in future, she's that good!

This property was part of a deceased estate and, as the out-of-town relative, Miranda and the team made the selling process stress-free.

Liz was our sounding board through the whole process, 20 questions, no problem Liz has all the answers and made everything so easy. Comms were always good, she knows what she’s talking about and we honestly couldn’t have done it with out her.

Cindy-Lee understood that it was not easy for us to sell our home to go to a Retirement Village but was most supportive. She gave us very good advice regarding the market in our area. When our home was sold pre-auction, Cindy-Lee was very professional and clear in her explaining the procedures to us. Many thanks Cindy-Lee, you were great.
