Coming down from Auckland to the region was a bit daunting, and we had a lot to take care of. However, Lorraine was an excellent agent to work with. Firstly, as I worked through the details of my employment contact, Lorraine held the rental for us due to us being first in line to contact her and then set a clear date when she would move onto another person. Secondly, she was always friendly and helpful with information, and in general welcoming to the area. Finally, she worked with the previous tenant to ensure the house was as promised, and the cleaning was done. The agent I am working with now has been excellent to deal with. She communicates well, is proactive and attentive to detail. The process of tenants moving out and re-renting the property was very smooth. However the change in tenancy did highlight that a number of items around the property had been neglected over the prior years, which could have been identified and brought to my attention by previous agents from the same company and this was disappointing. I feel like we have re-rented the house on a good footing and hope this can be maintained throughout the current tenancy.
