My brother passed away in tragic circumstances in the month of March 2024. A native of the UK, he had been resident in New Zealand for 10 years, obtaining his full citizenship and was a proud holder of a NZ Passport. His Mother and Siblings remaining behind, here in the U.K My brother had purchased his first property approximately one year before his death and had invested a lot of time, effort and expense into renovating the property. At the time of his death although great improvements had been made to the property, the works were incomplete. My brother died suddenly in a workplace accident leaving no will, resulting in a long protracted legal process for the beneficiaries of his estate to have to endure along side having to grieve his passing. This legal process resulted in a 7 month wait until the courts granted permission for the property to be sold. During this period the mortgage still had to be paid as well as various utilities and council charges. Upon grant of permission to sell the property, enter Mr Matt Gibson, Matt recommended that the property be sold by auction due to the incomplete nature of the renovation works. Organising the sale of the property within 2 months, full settlement within 3 months . Believe me when i say that he did move at a feverish pace to organise this sale, firstly by organising a gardener and jet washer to spruce up the exterior of the property, then organising photographers for marketing purposes. Then marketing the property on various websites to generate interest for the various open house events that he organised. At all times maintaining excellent communication with me on the other side of the world and with our solicitors in NZ I can admit that it was not all plain sailing, at times i was close to despair, however Matt would always be there for reassurance. At Auction day he managed to get the right people into the room and achieve the best possible price for the property. Thankyou Matt
