I would thoroughly recommend Neil O'Gorman from Barfoot and Thompson to list and sell a property for you. We were executors (of an estate) and had not lived in the property. Neil provided a wonderful service listing the property, attracting buyers, hosting open homes and taking the property to auction. Neil took the time to check on the property regularly and support the executors who were not locals to the area. Neil proved excellent guidance though all the steps of selling this property making the process very easy. Neil communicated very well with both the executors and other stakeholders through out and his knowledge guided us so we could set realistic expectations on the process and sale. We achieved a great outcome with the sale. I would recommend Neil to anyone who needs to sell their own property or is arranging a sale of behalf of someone else or an estate.

Selling our house with Yin Yin was really Excellent, she had superb knowledge of our property area, and she worked exceptionally hard to try and find all possible interest for our property. Very Professional in her approach, and her communication skills in regards to letting us know every moment a potential buyer showed interest was A+++. Every day while our house was on the market we received updates via WhatsApp at the very least- this worked really well for us. Her work ethic is excellent+ and her instincts about people and market seem very on point. She guided us, but wasn't too pushy either which we appreciated. If I ever sell a property again I would definitely like the opportunity to work with Yin Yin again.

There was little effort made to actively market our property. Numerous interested buyers had attended with varying motivations. While most people appreciated the property, factors such as affordability and job security concerns in the current market influenced their decisions. Helen managed the process in a methodical and professional manner. We received weekly updates regarding social media activity and client feedback. Our goal was to sell the property and move to Australia, which we successfully achieved. The market is currently underperforming, so achieving a price near the CV is a positive outcome. Government policies are aiming to lower house prices, meaning the longer we delay the sale, the less we are likely to receive. Barfoot & Thompson’s Property Credit option, designed to help with marketing and staging expenses, can be somewhat onerous. Property Credit involves placing a second mortgage on the property, which may give potential buyers the impression of a forced sale, possibly resulting in a lower sale price.
