Poor communication and lack of transparency
I had hoped for a positive and collaborative experience working with Glenn, especially given his position as a local agent with knowledge of the community. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations due to ongoing communication issues and a lack of transparency throughout the process.
From the outset, key milestones such as the listing going live, photography appointments, and the opportunity to review listing photos in advance were not clearly communicated. When I raised these concerns, I was informed that updates had been shared with others involved in the sale, which did not adequately address my need to be kept in the loop. Additionally, several requests to amend the listing description were not actioned, despite follow-up.
A major source of frustration was the lack of clarity around the expected sale price and target market. When offers came in below expectations, I was told I should be grateful for receiving any interest at all — a response that felt dismissive of my goals and input as the seller. At one point, I was also told that I simply didn’t understand the local market, which I found both unconstructive and unprofessional, particularly when raised in the context of legitimate concerns.
Throughout negotiations, I felt sidelined, with limited insight into the strategy being employed or updates on buyer engagement. During the both the selling and negotiation process, I did not feel supported or informed needing to send multiple follow up emails and phone calls regarding same.
Given this experience, I would find it difficult to recommend Glenn or Tommy’s to future sellers who wish to be actively involved and consulted in the sale of their property.
