John made getting our house market ready so easy. During a stressful time with list of jobs that needed doing by the minute, John takes control of the situation. He project managed all the contractors on our behalf in record time. His relentlessness in following up potential buyers got us the best result on auction day with multiple people bidding. As an agent myself (out of Auckland), my expectations were high! Not only did John & Jane deliver - they far exceeded those expectations. Nothing was too much trouble - with us out of town, unfortunately things did fall on their shoulders, but they also made us feel we were their only vendors! One offer was not good enough, they chased the ‘best’ offer and we believe that’s what we ultimately got! A difficult situation with the dynamics of the sale was smoothed by them and we know we couldn’t have been in better hands. We were most impressed with both John & Jane. From day one they presented in a very professional but personal manner, didn't over promise and delivered above expectations. They took time to hear and act on our concerns - this included solutions to potential issues around settlement dates, storage and rented accommodation. At no cost to ourselves they also arranged the advertising of our property on the 'front cover' of the Property Press - this combined with their other marketing expertise and network of buyers led to a hugely successful auction. Needless to say a massive THANKS to John & Jane whom we would highly recommend to any vendor.

John and Jane have been extremely accommodating from the moment our agent first enquired about the property. We were immediately granted a private inspection at a time and date that suited us which was greatly appreciated as we have flown from Australia to view several properties in 1 day. Stepping into the home, no question was left in answered. We were made to feel welcome which contributed to us making a personal connection with the property. All formalities that followed, leading into the auction, were seamless. Nothing was too hard or inconvenient for Jane and John. They both respected our position and decision to work with our personal Agent and no confusion or miss communication occurred - it was a first class experience. We went into this auction feeling confident and sure of our commitment as we had been given all the information and knowledge about the property that we needed. Thankfully we won the auction and the communication that has followed, has been exceptional. We are elated and most grateful for both John and Jane and their management of this property.

Late 2020 was the time and we reached out to John again and we kicked off round two, the campaign started well and that should have been our first warning…… the council once again failed to deliver on its promise and continued with a barrage of changes to the “notice to fix” instead of the sign off that was due. John was able to navigate through these changes and delays during open homes and our auction was looking promising, with sign-off now gained from the council the auction was looking promising. During the week of the Auction the council issued a surprise Abatement notices requiring the already listed on the LIM “contaminated soil” (which is all throughout Avondale) be removed and replaced with “clean” soil, turning our plans to lumpy cold custard. At this time you can imagine how challenging it must have been for John to then have to provide updates to this already demanding client – to put it bluntly, I was interested in the standard real-estate speak I was exhausted, frustrated and not interested in dealing with the vultures who thought they could get a cheap deal. John was able to manage purchaser expectations and the offers although sometimes cheeky were a decent starting point (even though he would often have to peel me off the ceiling).
