We met Richard at an open home while searching for our new house. Although we didn’t particularly like the property he was showing, we really appreciated his approach. He didn’t try to oversell the home but instead asked thoughtful questions to better understand our needs and to inform his vendor. This genuine and respectful approach stood out to us compared to other agents.
Richard asked if he could take a look at our current home, even though we were still in the early stages of preparing to sell. We were happy to give him that opportunity. After our first meeting, we felt confident in giving him the listing. We had quite a bit of work to do before we were ready to go to market, but Richard was never pushy. He gave us the time we needed, checking in only occasionally as promised.
When we finally listed the house, we went to auction but didn’t receive much interest. We weren’t surprised, as we felt the home would appeal more to first-home buyers who often need conditions attached. Just three business days after the auction, Richard brought us our first offer - and two days later, we had three more! He guided us through the process and negotiated skilfully to help us reach an offer we were happy with.
After the offer was accepted, we hit a small roadblock with some of the conditions. We weren’t getting clear answers from others involved, but Richard stepped in, cut through the red tape, and quickly got to the root of the issue. Thanks to him, we likely saved another week or two of mortgage payments.
