I bought my house in QT in 2004 and adored it , even though I only lived in it for 4 years before I relocated back to ChCh. It was tenanted from 2008 until the present. I harboured thoughts of selling it in 2021 when my long term tenants moved out, but with the market so buoyant still, I thought I would rent it again if I could find suitable tenants, which I did. Then things changed with the economy and Covid - interest rates were heading seriously north and my new tenants moved out after 1 year there. It was a difficult decision , but after 18 years I decided it was time to sell. However I actually thought with the way the market was heading that I had missed the boat. Enter Kate Law whom I've known for many years in both a professional capacity and as a friend . From the get go she filled me with confidence about the market in QT (especially in my parish) and told me she would help me sell it. She actually knew my house as she knew the previous owner. She explained the process and convinced me that the best way to sell it was to go all out - have it staged, have it photographed ,get a building report done and to fix anything that needed repairing. She went ahead and ordered the LIM report (and paid for it), ordered the Building Report, got in touch with my Solicitor - bought heaters to warm the place up on Open days, showed people around daily and basically did everything that I couldn't do, being in ChCh. Totally kept me up to speed with what was happening with prospective buyers, and the sale process was completed in under 2 weeks from going on the market ! Which I couldn't believe. She presented and marketed my property with panache and style and found me a buyer quickly in a market I thought had tanked. Fantastic team who make you feel welcome and informed the whole way through the selling process. Priscilla and Feleki are absolute gems and I would highly recommend them to all. If you are a buyer or a seller you will be looked after from start to finish through the process. They are both fabulous to work with, I was always well informed of the things happening and any questions were always promptly answered. What I really appreciated was their honesty and patience and the insight to be a step ahead of the process. I was thrilled from the moment I listed my house with them right through to settlement and beyond. I can't rave enough about the wonderful and professional Harcourts team.
