To a vendor, my question is: say issues do come up with selling the house who do you want to represent you, to be on your side? A slick haired realtor who can talk the talk ... or Drew? A former soldier who will drop everything and actually fight for you when it really gets tough. He has shown that through numerous challenges, he will achieve a successful campaign for the vendor no matter the difficulty while retaining a good relationship between vendor and purchaser alike. He will ultimately ensure a smooth handover after as well. Impressive Drew - we didn't go easy on you! We were the purchasers and Drew the selling agent. As an engineer I read through the council file and picked up on major unconsented structural alterations to the house. This threw a spanner in the works for the auction process as these works unremedied would essentially nullify insurance and therefore unconditional lending for auction. Drew put his head down and worked tirelessly for his vendors to ensure they could bring the house the house to auction. He negotiated hard with council and and got them to exepedite their inspection and brought in a chartered engineer the following day. He also got the council to add this significant alteration to an existing application. The council had no obligation or incentive to acquise, so I have no idea how he achieved that. Through this and other resolved issues Drew remained professional, attentive and surprised us with his willingness to go out of his way - even for us! He referenced conversations from months ago about what we wanted as buyers, was aware we were new to the process and even offered in person assistance at times he thought might be overwhelming. After auction he really did help to smooth the somewhat fraying relationship between vendor and purchaser, and ensured a smooth uncomplicated handover. No small feat.
