A Cromwell local since age five, Kendra has watched the town grow from a small community into one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing regions. With deep roots in Central Otago, they have a true appreciation for the area and the people who make it special. Curious by nature, Kendra loves to understand the “why” behind things and uses that insight to find better ways of doing and helping. Known for her caring attitude and “let’s make it happen” approach, she is the go-to problem solver. Outside of work, Kendra enjoys the scenic walks around Central Otago and along the lake, with the occasional spot of gold panning as a fun way to connect with the region’s history and landscape.

About Ken

Before entering the real estate industry in 2004, Ken spent more than 35 years in agriculture. Based in mid-Canterbury with his wife Judy and their two children, Ken was mixed-farming and developing a nursery of more than 100,000 trees with an employment of up to 50 staff members. A change in lifestyle beckoned and, in 1990, they relocated to Cromwell. When he joined Harcourts in 2004 as the rural and lifestyle consultant for Central Otago, Ken’s long-standing involvement in the primary industry granted him a far superior understanding of buyers and sellers. His first-hand experience offered invaluable insight into the rural sector as well as extensive knowledge regarding stone fruit production and viticulture which is so prominent in this region. Now operating in residential real estate as well as in the rural sectors, Ken has received national and local Harcourts awards for excellence and best practice, which he appreciates as a reflection of his integrity and willingness to go the extra mile for buyers and sellers alike. Clients value his dedication to offering genuine advice and professional guidance, as well as his industry acumen and familiarity with the ins and outs of completing a real estate transaction. Ken has been a committed sportsman throughout his life, playing rugby at representative level and now coaching in the Central Otago area, including the Cromwell Premier team and the Otago Country representative team. He’s now enjoying playing golf and being involved at committee level at Cromwell Golf Club.

Ken brings wisdom and deep knowledge of the local market

Ken has sold property for us previously and we have the utmost respect for his professionalism, market knowledge and commitment to getting the best results for the client.The sale of our property struck a flat patch inn the local market but he and his associate managed to present us with two offers after only 7 weeks on the market. one of which we accepted.

Very responsive, excellent communicator, charming personality and got results

Kendra put together a good marketing programme and provided regular and timely update on responses. Open homes all went well. Ended up with two offers with one clearly superior. While the auction was unsuccessful, and in hindsight may not have been the best strategy, it seemed the right approach at the time. It seemed that quite a bit of heat may have gone out of the market from about the time of the auction due to external factors. We are satisfied with the final price. We would gladly recommend Kendra.

Informative and Confident
