The pre-sales paper work and so on was fine but that was virtually the last we saw of the agent. We sold it privately within a day but of course still dealt with Bayleys. We only saw Marcus one more time, to sign the offer. We asked about the $1200 or so marketing we had paid and Marcus responded that most of it would be re-paid. We have seen nothing, even though it was not needed by Bayleys. Marcus was now totally missing in inaction, we had to organise hand over with purchaser etc. Obviously the relationship with the vendor is of no importance to Bayleys if this is your normal process

Sheree was chosen to prepare and market our waterways property in Whitianga as she had been recommended to us by friends. Sheree did an outstanding job of telling us what we needed to do to prepare the property for sale. We had though it was fine but as it turns out what did we know! When we had done what she had advised, it looked so good we started to think we should buy it. Sheree advised us the property suited an auction process which she organized and a date was set. The property was shown to a large number of people but unfortunately, the Covid pandemic hit and both Auckland and Hamilton were shut off. Sheree presented us a pre-auction offer that was $300,000 over our pre-determined reserve price. Sheree advised us to still go to auction. We were obviously very nervous as Covid meant both Hamilton and Auckland people could not get to the auction, which then had to be held in a Bayleys office in Tauranga. Sheree assured us she was confident that it could perhaps improve on the offer on the table, an offer we were happy to accept. She won the day; we took her advice and went to auction. The winning bid was $2,530,000. Over our reserve. Needless to say, we can thoroughly recommend Sheree to you as a very experienced salesperson. She was very easy to deal with and she gave us all the right advice. Sheree was always professional and kept us fully informed on interest being shown and was able to produce a great result in very adverse conditions.
