Simon has successfully marketed our property which resulted in a very quick sale. Simon went over and above expectations throughout. He initially alerted us to the advertisement for our new home, although it was not listed with Bayleys. Simon worked absolutely in our best interests on our sale, and managed to push up our sale price even higher than we expected to settle on. Simon’s recommended marketing campaign identified and described the merits of our property and then put it in front of what he thought was our buyer market which attracted large numbers, approximately 90 in 4 weeks, of buyers to the open homes from all over Auckland. I had a pre-auction offer which Simon recommended I decline as he felt we could do better and to continue with the auction where he subsequently managed the competition between several buyers to obtain an excellent result well above the pre-auction offer. Simon said he wouldn’t leave any stone unturned finding buyers which in turn would result in a great price and that is exactly what he did.

Selling my piece of paradise at Muriwai was not an easy decision to make. Once the decision was made I knew that Simon would be the best man for the job. Having first met Simon when I purchased the property, we have kept in touch over the years and he has always been obliging in providing context of the current market and the likes. Simon knows the local northwest, including Muriwai, property market very well and clearly is passionate about it. Given I am living abroad Simon had to conduct all elements of the sale - marketing campaign, tenancy management, paperwork, open homes and the auction itself without any face-to-face contact with me. Despite this, his great communication and transparent approach ensured I was well informed at every step of the process. I was in good hands. Of course the end result is really what matters, and I was very pleased with how it came together. Simon secured a great result which was above my expectations for my sale and found fabulous new owners to now live in and love my little slice of paradise. I am thrilled.

“Simon says” I say, and we all have a giggle. Simon has been in and out of our family lives for at least a decade and a half, guiding us through the tortuous paths of buying and selling property. Locally, he knows everybody and everybody knows him. If you've been in real estate for two decades that’s to be expected but we are a tight little community in Muriwai and Simon is an important part of it. I started out to set down something funny but as often happens with writing, it takes on a life of its own.
