Ian impressed us with his knowledge of the area, understanding of the home and garden we were selling. Lynda took an active interest in the preparation of our property for sale from the start of her agency. She even assisted with trips to charity shops. She also encouraged us to invest in the sale process including a broad marketing campaign, staging, site clean-up and clearing advice. Feedback from potential buyers in the lead up to auction however suggested that a much lower price would be achieved than was envisaged in the months beforehand. The final result however was much better than expected (by $300k). This, in addition to marketing and presentation of the property (per her advice), is also attributable to her hard work in on the open homes and follow-ups to bring multiple bidders to the auction. The dispensations given to the successful bidders for the auction (as negotiated by Lynda) kept them engaged and ultimately drove up the price. We placed our trust in Lynda that this would work out OK - and it did. Overall - Lynda was a pleasure to work with and she has done an excellent job for us.

Buying and selling off-market has a unique set of challenges, multiply that with effectively doing a house-swop with another Devonport house, on a tight deadline, with every single party involved travelling abroad during that timeframe, and you'll grasp the difficulty of our recent sale and purchase. Linda and Jacquie worked their socks off to get this deal over the line, from a chance conversation to a high-speed move on a joint opportunity. Their professionalism and negotiation skills through some tricky discussions, combined with practical, 'can do' approach, and a database which is probably unrivalled were impressive. Both bring tremendous energy, drive and attention to detail to the whole process. Linda ended up working through the night from New York and Italy, repeatedly during her holiday, to get the simultaneous sale through, with buyer and seller also in different time zones. Jacquie never stopped for breath, making everything happen with specialist building reports and the panoply of tradies and contacts that helped provide the right insights at the right time. Communication was in depth and ongoing. Dom was very eager agent and kept us in the loop at all times. Feedback from open homes was detailed and explained well. Final sale price was less than what we were lead to believe we would achieve, but looking back now was probably inline with market expectations.
