Mindful that agents are acting in the best interests of the vendor, I found Tom to be honest and informative and he went the extra mile to find out information to answer my many questions and liaised between me and the vendor on minor property issues. Having moved from Hamilton to Dunedin for work, I did not have any local contacts such as a solicitor and builder, Tom provided his own contacts who were excellent and easy to deal with, this allowed me to have an unconditional offer and settle within 15 days, super quick! I first ran into Matt Cutler many years ago when I was hunting for investment properties in Dunedin. His insights led to the purchase of two flats in the right location that Matt and his firm, Cutlers, managed flawlessly for almost five years. Over that time I never missed a single days rent, the flats were rented each year, with appropriate increments, without advertising, from Cutlers pool of existing and would be tenants. Every kind of issue was managed without drama. When I decided to cash up and sell, Matt and Cutlers stepped in to completely manage the process from beginning to end. Matt delivered on his price projections within a matter of weeks on both flats. Matt seems to understand the art of steering clients in the right direction with a light touch. And just by being consistently right. So, underneath the very laid back exterior is a shrewd operator, wise beyond his years, who puts his money where is mouth is, and from my perspective, a trusted safe pair of hands over many years. He took all the worry out. I'll be re-engaging Matt in future. Highly recommended.

We met Matt back in February this year in our quest to buy a house in the university area. We finally had success when we purchased a property through him late May. We live in the BOP, had minimal local knowledge & none of the student market. Over the past 3+ months Matt has had to deal with numerous questions & queries from us, & has arranged viewings of several properties (sometimes in person & sometimes remotely with our son who is attending university there). Matt has always been super prompt with his answers & help, always straight up. He has provided really sound advice. Other agents from other companies were definitely less motivated. I'm no fan of real estate agents in general but Matt is excellent. I'm sure Matt could teach the older / more experienced agents a thing or two. In the current market it doesn't take much to sell a house, but we think Matt would definitely be a go-to guy when the market is less buoyant & you need an agent to go out of their way to market your property & maximise its return. On the flip side as a buyer he's a super helpful guy to work with. We can't recommend Matt enough.
