We didn't win the first house we put an offer on, and that was also a house that Abby & Pam had listed. To be honest, I was heartbroken. It was the first offer we had done and I had fully fallen in love with the house and I pictured our lives there. The thing that stood out more than anything was the aftercare we received from Abby & Pam even though on that house we were not the buyers. Technically speaking, they didn't have any obligation to follow up with us beyond letting us know our offer wasn't selected. But they did. They held my rather wary hand and made me believe we would find our home. And we did! And my goodness they are fantastic when you win the offer too. Leading up to putting the offer in the communication was excellent. This offer had some complexities to it with a consent requirement from the vendor, but with Abby & Pam we were constantly updated. That communication has continued throughout the conditional period and as we make our way to settlement. The fact that we could ring, sometimes after hours, and discuss the house and always leave the call feeling settled, made us as first home buyers very grateful. As first home buyers, we came into this experience with not a lot of knowledge of how things worked. Abby & Pam answered every question we had and always ensured we were heard. They had excellent recommendations for builders to use for our building report and happily walked us through the various steps of the process. They were professional but not sterile. We knew things were being done by the book but we also felt cared for. We knew they were working in the interest of their client, as well as ensuring we as the buyer were looked after. That is not an easy thing to balance and I have heard many stories where agents do not get it right. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to Abby & Pam for helping us (and our cat) find our forever home. We will not hesitate to have Abby & Pam sell our house in the future!
