At point we first starting thinking of selling our house, we had contact with several agencies and agents. However, we approached Terry for help, because of the unusually good recommendations given to us by some good friends who had used her. Their recommendations proved accurate. Terry's approach was based around supporting us, regardless of what direction we were thinking of taking at the time she was visiting - renovate, sell, pass to a house renovator, rent it out, stay put. As we struggled to work out the right thing to do for our house and ourselves, she never pushed us. Notably, she had a wide range of practical suggestions for tradespeople. and gave us lots of positive encouragement at a point we were feeling pretty despondent about the state of the Auckland market. In the end, she suggested we try selling the house as a 'work in progress', rather than finishing our renovation projects and going to open market. She managed to find 6 interested parties in four days, with four confirmed offers. One of these offers was close to what we had wanted, and we accepted it. To find this many interested parties in such a short period, with no advertising would have required an equivalent extensive network of contacts and friendships. I doubt many agents can rival Terry's decades of experience in the Northshore market, and I believe it was her extensive networks that helped her find buyers here, without going to market. While we were very happy with the practical outcome, I am most grateful for Terry's approach to working with clients. Her empathetic, supportive approach was just what we needed. Many thanks Terry, our friends were right - you are wonderful to work with.
