We first met Max John at an open home he was holding for another colleague. We were possibly only window shopping at the time but he projected a warming professional attitude and was very comfortable to talk with. Months later when we thought it was time to sell my house, we had kept Max John in mind and thought he would be a good option to sell with. Great choice actually. Max worked for me as a buyers agent for a property I purchased in October 2025. I was looking for a do-er upper-erer for my second property, partly due to money constraints and partly due to wanting something to add value to. After a coffee, some number crunching, shading in a diagram of the areas I was interested in, and a few chats and open homes, Max introduced me to a stunning 3 bedroom methamphetamine-"contaminated" property which seemed like the bargain I was looking for! It was sold as-is by Kainga Ora and already had a decent amount of the work already done with it being stripped of its flooring and window coverings. This also meant it was cheap! It was by happenstance that we met Max through my partners work actually and honestly from the first meeting he was in our court. It was our first time buying a home so lots of questions, weekend and evening viewings and he was extremely flexible and accommodating. Before Max we thought realtors were pushy, selfish people. We were worried being first home buyers that we'd look stupid and be taken advantage of. This however was not the case.
