After looking at other agents and their people, we decided on Kath Shaw of ReMax. Her friendly, professional manner, and obvious knowledge of the market were what clinched the deal for us. It certainly helped that she did a sterling job as our Property Manager for some 18 months before we decided to sell. As always, timing is everything. And we went to market at a time when the Reserve Bank tightened lending policies, which proved troublesome in that the buyers were there, but the finance they needed had dried up. Kath's perseverance eventually paid off, and we got a sale. Given the general condition of the house and sale prices of other properties in the area, I believe the price was lower than hoped for, but fair. Kath was great to work with and always kept us up to date with how things were proceeding. We would have no hesitation in using her again, should we re-enter the Mangakino property market, and would certainly recommend her to other buyers or sellers.
