Reference for real estate Karl Leathely Karl was a pleasant person to communicate with. Yet we encountered a few problems along the way. Making a pre-auction offer to secure the property, we got our wires crossed several times as we stipulated that this offer was only valid if the auction ahead would be canceled. Karl continued to tell the seller that he could accept our offer and still go to auction. In other words have your cake and eat it. This caused confusion on both sides. We cannot see this as an option in a pre-auction offer in any case. It contradicts the intentions of such an offer. We were also told by Karl that the weekly rent of the existing tenant, whom we would take over buying the property as an investment, was $480. Only when taking possession of the property found we out, that the rental payment was only $440 wich led to a shortfall in our calculations of repayments of our mortgage. This are lapses that are hard to stomach. Karl was perseverant in his efforts to communicate yet as mentioned there were some major misunderstandings.

My experience with Karl was very positive. Karl is professional and knowledgeable about the Whangarei residential property market. He is also reliable and friendly without being pushy. Karl was willing to make an effort to achieve a good outcome and communicated well. It was a pleasure to deal with him.
