We were first time buyers, full of optimism about the Auckland housing market and confident the house buying process would be so simple. Karin was introduced to us by her branch manager who we had, had previous dealings with and trusted especially given the uniqueness of the property we were selling. We both instantly liked Karin, she was respectful and had great understanding and knowledge of the of type of property we were selling as it was a 110-year-old villa in original condition. It was of great comfort that she understood about older homes and we felt confident she would be able to use her knowledge to answer any queries any potential buyers may have had. Karin worked very hard to group potential buyers who wanted more viewings or building inspections at similar times so we were able to get the house and our dogs sorted out rather than having multiple visiting times which was very thoughtful. We were kept fully updated with everything that was going on, the feedback that was given etc with weekly reports and phone calls nothing was a problem we could contact her anytime with any queries we may have had. Karin was my Agent for the sale of my home of 25 years at Onewa Road, Auckland in early 2021. The circumstances of the sale were far from straightforward as the property was let whilst I am overseas. Preparing my home for sale and then selling it remotely was complicated enough – let alone with the added challenges of COVID lockdowns in Qatar & New Zealand. I was anxious about this – and yet Karin put me at ease as soon as I met her remotely by video call in January. Most importantly, her professional approach filled me with confidence. In particular, I was sure that Karin would oversee the extremely complicated process on my behalf - including the preparations and then the sale - to the highest standards. Karin managed everything on my behalf magnificently – including full redecoration, plumbing, re-tiling, gardening, substantial deck repairs, water-blasting and Staging in advance of Open Home days and more - and even liaised with neighbours. She sourced the trades, obtained quotes for the work & then managed the work in a tight timeframe. I was very happy to trust Karin’s judgment throughout this – and I was not disappointed! In addition, Karin put together the marketing package and because I was overseas (and because of COVID), she arranged the necessary meetings by Zoom with me & with the auctioneer, lawyers & my old rental agency. My home was presented to the market at an extremely high standard thereby achieving an appropriate and pleasing price at auction in early April and completed in May. The quantity, quality & timeliness of Karin’s communication throughout the process were exemplary. This was especially important to me as every exchange with Karin & the other stakeholders was electronic – video, email etc. Karin’s excellent communication skills were maintained after the sale helping me tie up loose ends.
