We were very dubious about selling in this market. Shane gave us all the time we needed to discuss this in full with both him and Ella Bason and also to discuss the options of selling further out in the future. There was never any pressure to go ahead at this time and our thoughts were always totally respected. Shane’s 20 years’ experience in real estate really showed through. He believed that May and June would be good months for various reasons and he turned out to be right in spades. My sister and I always do a lot of due diligence and ask a lot of questions. Everything that we wanted to discuss was discussed very candidly with all scenarios and viewpoints discussed. There were no rash statements and everything was backed up by examples and evidence. Shane and Ella were awesome in every respect with excellent communication and a huge work ethic. This was a complex sale with some of our co-owners overseas including one who was flying over the North Pole when we were having to make and legally implement decisions on variations to the auction contract immediately before the auction. Shane and Ella took all this in their stride and always had a solution to any little problem. On the Tuesday after the second open home, a potential buyer who has seen the property on the Sunday made a pre-auction offer which we would have been very happy with. Due to the large network of buyers and agents that Shane’s agency has and due to Shane and Ella’s extremely hard work they were able to get more than 15 bidders to the auction including 12 agents and their potential bidders. This was in only one and a half days which was all the time they had once our lawyer gave the go ahead to some pre-auction offer legal aspects that arose. We would have been really happy with the pre-auction offer that resulted in the auction being brought forward and were ecstatic about the final result which was almost $300,000 more than the offer. We can highly recommend Shane and all his team.
