Moving house is hugely disruptive to all aspects of home life so buying a new home doesn't finish with the signature on the purchase agreement. Arriving to find a beautiful bow on the door was lovely, as was the box of goodies awaiting me inside but more than that was the willingness to be available for all those pesky questions after I moved in... where can I find a plumber?
