We have used Taryn as both a buyer and a vendor. While buying, we were in the market for a larger property and ran across Taryn. At this stage we had used other agents and never been properly listened to, getting shown properties of the wrong size, wrong area, wrong price, wrong features - just getting emailed TradeMe listings of everything even passingly suitable - something we could easily look up ourselves. Taryn made a real effort to -listen- to our list of wants and needs, didn't show us unsuitable properties... and after a few weeks called us for an off-market property and ran through why she thought it might and might not be suitable. After several months of looking, I can't emphasis how rare it was to have an agent who paid attention to what we actually wanted instead of merely what was first on their list. We bought the property after the first look. She gave us a clear indication of what the vendor was seeking, walked us through the offer process, and helped settle the property, all the while making this as stress-free a process as house buying can be. When it came to sell our existing property, it wasn't a hard choice. She ran us through the process, and showed the house to a prospective buyer who had their own list of needs - which once again Taryn had listened well to and given them what they were after. They too bought in on the first look, no advertising or open homes even required. Again Taryn took us through the selling process, worked calmly to settle the hiccups and jump through the hoops, and worked with us well the whole way. When you can sell not one but two properties on a first look through listening to the buyer’s needs, that really says something as a real estate agent! We highly recommend Taryn for her great listening, clear communication, and general professionalism.
