Shelley is a true-blue Huntly local having lived in the area all her life. She has a very supportive husband and two teenagers, Jordan and Toby, not to forget their Boxer, American Bulldog, chickens, sheep and horses!
She has previously worked in administrative roles at Stace Hammond Grace (Solicitors, Hamilton), Kosoof & Co (Chartered Accountants, Huntly) and Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd (Opencast Mine, Rotowaro) tallying up 19 years administration experience and knowledge. Wanting to veer her career towards a more people orientated focus, she decided to head down the real estate path to showcase what our awesome district offers.
She has been selling residential and lifestyle properties since 2013 and appreciates that buying or selling property can be one of the most stressful events in a person's lifetime. With a strong background of 11 years in real estate admin, Lorrel made the move into selling real estate 3 years ago, and has had many successful sales in that time. She is enjoying taking on the role with a modern, energetic, and professional approach, utilising all the skills she has learnt during her years in Real Estate so far.
Lorrel is Huntly born and bred, having grown up in the town, she is a true local! Lorrel and her husband bought their own first home here in 2013, which they have been renovating. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, photography, and weekends out in their classic car.

Growing up in a small town on the Central Plateau, I developed a strong foundation in farming, equestrian work, and the values that come with a true country upbringing. My early years were spent working in the market gardens before moving to Foxton, where I began my equine career with Chris Waller at Rippon Lodge. From there, much of my early working life revolved around equine studs and racing stables, along with more than four years in dairy farming. It’s safe to say—I’m a country girl through and through.
I moved to the Waikato over 20 years ago, and not long after, I discovered a new passion: helping people find the place they call home. That passion has grown into a rewarding career in real estate, where I’ve had the privilege of matching clients with properties that truly suit their lifestyle.
Today, when I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me horse riding, golfing, fishing, or coaching up-and-coming horse riders. These experiences—combined with my rural background and real estate expertise—give me a genuine understanding of both residential and lifestyle property needs.

Great Lady. Honest Agent.
During our long search to buy a property, we encountered some lazy and dishonest agents. We eventually came across Dawn who was exceptional in every way. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She would reply to emails, txts and calls promptly regardless of the time day or night and she would show us through properties after hours to accommodate our work hours. We found Dawn to be knowledgeable, honest, and very down to earth, which was comforting (unlike the flashy overdressed agents). We also found Dawn to be a genuinely caring person. We met a few agents during our search but Dawn's professional yet genuine approach towards people and sales are 2nd to none. She made us feel important everytime we spoke to or saw her. She is what we call 'old school" even though she is very much up with today's times. I would highly recommend Dawn without hesitation and if we buy or sell in the future she will definitely be our only choice of agent. Thank you for your excellent service Dawn and we will surely recommend you to family, friends and colleagues.

Amazing experience as first home buyers!
Nigel was absolutely amazing to deal with as first home buyers. We found ourselves in a multi-offer situation straight away, which could have been really stressful, but Nigel made the whole process feel manageable. He gave us great advice, kept us well informed every step of the way and was always happy to answer our questions — even after hours! His communication and support made a huge difference and we felt confident throughout the entire process. We’d highly recommend Nigel to anyone looking to buy a home!
