We first met Carol Dovey on a wet & windy winter night when she knocked at our front door. “Have you seen my pussycat?” she asked as I opened the door. Errrr… No… I stuttered... Fay had initially contacted me when I was selling real estate in Australia. Some years later she returned to Kapiti Coast and contacted me again with a view to settling in TGA. She had a varied but not unreasonable list of ‘must-haves’ and we proceeded to view what was available. I first met Carol, on a rainy day in May 2018 when I visited an open home she was hosting. As soon as I walked in the door I noticed how friendly and down to earth she was, including a few jokes and a great sense of humour! I was living in Auckland at the time and was visiting Tauranga on the weekends whilst looking for a house to buy. My circumstances were not the norm where I didn’t know the exact timeframe in which I was going to be in a position to purchase a property.
