What's around 39 Westburn Terrace

The Lewis House 1966

To download the property file, please copy & paste the following link: https://www.propertyfiles.co.nz/property/RX4778333 There's a familiarity to its form — the honesty of materials, the disciplined arrangement, and the restraint of what became known as the Christchurch Style of architecture. You would be forgiven for assuming that this was a Warren and Mahoney design, yet while the influence is unmistakable, the authorship is not. The architect who conceived it, and young assistant who detailed it, both worked within that very office— translating the firm's architectural ethos into a private commission. In doing so, they created not a replica, but a quiet act of admiration for the practice that shaped them. · True Christchurch mid-century modern · An extremely rare, one-owner home · Almost original to its conception · Exceptional detailing throughout · Three double bedrooms with integrated joinery · Interconnected living, dining, and kitchen · Formal lounge with gas fire · Functional bathroom in original configuration · Separate laundry with WC · Double garage with automatic doors · Garden workshop designed in keeping with the home · Zoned for Burnside High and Westburn School The apparent simplicity is an illusion — the result of remarkable precision and consideration in every detail. MId Century Expertise

Nick gave us a wonderful viewing experience coloured by his knowledge and passion for the mid century architecture. He was very accomodating in respect of arranging our viewings. Nick was very professional in respect of the fine line of negotiation while still being very helpful.

Nick Cowdy was a consumate professional, marketing our architectural house

Due to Nick's interest and knowledge of architecture and architects and with a rather unique house to sell, his experience was invaluable. His knowledge of mid-century design was evident when he could point out many features, details and construction materials along with the rationale behind them - important to a descerning prospective purchase. To us, as clients, Nick provided feedback following each open home, he was at all times respectful, and genuinely enthusiastic about the propsect of finding the right owner for this home. Nick was ably supported by Indi who was equally enthusiastic We certainly feel both performed excellently, achieving a result beyond our expectations thanks to their professionalism and Nick's appreciation of the property. Definately the right real estate to sell this significant property.
