The process through Bayleys has been extremely quick and helpful. There is a more secure feeling going through the entire process knowing our case is being worked on by professionals rather than directly by landlords, and this guarantee in the back of our minds makes the process feel like our group had more security than going through a private listing. One piece of advice for the team would be to communicate the tight turn around times they expect from the groups. We went from having viewings to handing in applications a matter of hours after and receiving our offer only a few working-hours after. Whilst the speed allowed us to end up with a house super quick, it would be appreciated if it was clearer to us before hand (like when we were booking viewings) that the process would be as rapid. Overall, we are looking forward to living in a Bayleys managed property for our first time flatting in Christchurch and the communication from the offer through agreement and early payments has been clear, quick, and very easy to understand. If you're prepared for the quick-pace and competitiveness of the process, and like the idea of the managers as opposed to dealing directly with landlords, then would highly recommend using them.
