I've also acquired a Bachelor of Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics from the University of Auckland. Through my studies and practical hands-on business experience, I've developed excellent customer service and negotiation skills, the ability to plan and execute effective promotions, and to manage conflict. My tenants appreciate my ability to solve their problems quickly, while my landlords appreciate my ability to do it at a competitive cost and with minimum disruption to them. When it comes to real estate, there is always someone looking for a place to call home, and then there are those who are looking for something better than what they already have. Prior to stepping into Property Management, I completed a Postgraduate degree in Wine Science. I learned about the science behind grape production and winemaking and worked for three years as a winemaker assistant. My love of wine led me to organising training for beginners in the industry – I enjoyed their desire to learn and their enthusiasm. I’ve lived in the East Auckland suburbs for four years now and I just love the area. The multicultural vibe and diverse mix of residents adds to the interest, and the safe sandy beaches, a buzzing dining scene day or night and good education facilities make it so convenient for families all within easy reach of the CBD. Outside of work, I’m happy to spend time with my wife and daughter every day. Life is for living and I I try to enjoy every minute. I speak Mandarin as well as English. I’ve worked in the real estate industry for a number of years now, and what I’ve always enjoyed is meeting different people and helping them solve their problems. Joining the Property Management team at Barfoot & Thompson Meadowlands is a move that fits perfectly with my interest in property and a love of helping people. Here I get to look after the interests of both our tenants and owners! My first foray into the housing market was with Barfoot & Thompson. I had a great experience and was appreciative of the salespeople who stood out from other agencies with their attentiveness and customer service. Prior to real estate I was a Regional Sales Manager in retail. This involved managing multiple retail stores with up to 90 staff and included store audits, HR, sales and working to targets, all transferable skills. I live locally and I love the diverse makeup of the Meadowlands community. My spare time is spent watching and supporting my kids’ soccer, and as a family we love living here - so close to so many beaches. No problem is too great for me and I am very results-focused. Liking what you do is happiness." For a long time now I've had a passion for real estate. I love seeing an owner enjoy the increasing value of an investment property, I love seeing a buyer find and own a charming house, and now I love seeing a tenant rent a home that is comfortable and affordable. I'm working as the property management administrator at Barfoot & Thompson Meadowlands branch. It is such a fresh, clean and tranquil area, a relaxing lifestyle with many romantic bays where the values of the family are prioritised. Prior to real estate, my roles were in administration, firstly in an area of student support at an international training centre for a university and secondly in finance in the hospitality industry. My achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Open University in Hochiminh City, Vietnam and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Intercontinental University in Atlanta, USA was good preparation for those roles. I'm fluent in Vietnamese and English and am learning Chinese, which helps when dealing with people from diverse backgrounds. Getting together with a group of parents and their kids, sharing food and having some fun is something I like to do in my life outside of work. Reading, cooking, playing music and singing with my two children are some of my favourite pastimes, and the kids' school Family & Friend club is a good way to get to know and become involved in the community. Entering into the real estate world is a big step in my career and with my passion for it, I hope to go further and become more successful. I am well-organised, detail oriented, trustworthy, have a good work ethic and my warm and friendly personality helps to build a positive atmosphere within the property management team.
