The property was well presented for open home viewing. Caleb was very welcoming to us, and answered our questions to the best of his knowledge at the time. He also had to work hard during the due diligence period of our purchase agreement. After sourcing information on the property file at the council and also a historic email between the seller to the council building control officer. The fire place as listed was non compliant and unusable. We requested a price deduction to allow a new fire to be installed. In this instance we believe correct information may not have been provided to Caleb from the seller in the 1st instance. Caleb kept us informed by phone, text message and email during the sale process. Please note we where close to withdrawing our offer to purchase the unit. We chose to offer a price reduction instead. I would like to indicate that after the price reduction was accepted. We then had to notify both the bank and our insurer that there was a non compliant fire at the address, we then needed to guarantee to both that we would not use the existing fire as installed. We have also provided the bank a copy of our receipt for the new fire we purchased early last week. Caleb is unaware of what we had to do to get this through. I will talk to him after settlement to clarify it. We have no hesitation in indicating that we have no concerns with at all with the way Caleb dealt with the entire process.
