About Louise

Houses have always held a fascination for me. Ever since I was a child I always wondered what was going on inside. I think it was the fact that a house enveloped the people who lived in it providing them with security, safety and warmth. I still feel like that today, particularly about brick and tile properties! Prior to real estate, working in the UK, I was lucky enough to be involved in some of the largest manufacturing industries in the world. From the "buzz" of providing health and safety products for 10,000 workers on a Toyota assembly line to the individual requirements of Rolls Royce Aerospace work or creating a bespoke product for five workers who produced the revered Bentley motorcars, these unique opportunities were stimulating and challenging. I completed a diploma in marketing which has proved to be invaluable in my sales career. Good communication and an eye for detail help me to provide a complete rounded service for owners and also to ensure that tenants feel secure and listened to. What I love about Barfoot & Thompson is that it is a family business and their values are practiced on a daily basis. Hauraki has been home for me since 1995, so travelling to work in Milford is an absolute dream. Living in a household of rugby league fans I am involved whether I like it or not! I enjoy running along the beach and really believe that we live in a paradise. I admire the expertise and professionalism of the team at Milford. They are experienced and between them can answer all your questions, whether they relate to Healthy Homes, current rental trends and valuations or tenancy legalities. Great communication and help with matching a suitable tenant to our needs

Barfoot and Thompson have been our go-to agents when we were looking to purchase a property years ago and now when we decided to let our property for a season. Fast, efficient and successful!

Brandon did an excellent job in finding a great new tenant for our rental property. He arranged with the vacating tenant (also great!!) to show the property well before the termination date. Because of this the new tenancy began only a few days after the property became vacant. Documentation (e.g. showing reviews, prospective tenant details) was quickly provided. His timely communications were much appreciated, particularly as we were overseas for a time during this process. Overall, a very professional performance!

Deep knowledge, professional, approachable and kind

Kathryn is the best property manager I've ever dealt with during my time as tenant. She effortlessly combines experience and detailed knowledge with humour and compassion - rarely found in a professional PM. Friendly, patient and supportive service for international tenants

I had a very good experience with Brandon and Emma from Barfoot & Thompson Milford. As English is not my first language, I was quite nervous during the rental process at the beginning. However, both Brandon and Emma were very patient, friendly, and helpful throughout the whole process. They always explained things clearly and replied to my questions carefully. I also really appreciated Emma’s help in Chinese when I was signing the tenancy agreement and asking questions about electricity providers. It made the process much easier for me and helped reduce a lot of stress. After moving into the house, Brandon also continued helping me with the issues and questions I had, and I really appreciated his patience and support. Thank you again for making the tenancy process much less stressful for me and my family. I would be very happy to recommend Barfoot & Thompson Milford to my friends in the future.
