As property manager at the Barfoot & Thompson Glendene branch, I'm working in an area that I am very familiar with having lived in West Auckland all of my life. Seeing properties improve with ongoing maintenance and matching tenants with properties, is all part of communicating and building relationships with landlords and tenants and is the part of the job that I really enjoy. I love it that here in the west we are so close to beautiful beaches and forests and still only a short drive to the city centre. The local markets too, add to the vibrancy of the area. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I have a special interest in photography and art. The Breast Cancer Foundation and Heart Kids are two of the charities that I support and my daughter and I enjoy collecting for them at various times during the year. Having worked in the property management field for over six years now, I believe that my honesty, dedication and attention to detail makes landlords and tenants feel confident in the service that I provide. I am a dedicated Property Manager at the Barfoot & Thompson Glendene Branch, with deep roots in the vibrant community of West Auckland, where I have spent my entire life. Witnessing the changes and growth in this area over the years, has fostered a profound connection to the neighbourhood and its people. One of the aspects I enjoy most about my profession is the opportunity to meet people from varied backgrounds and different walks of life. I love getting to know my clients – landlords and tenants alike - hearing their stories, sharing their experiences, and meeting their needs wherever I can. With a professional background spanning 12 years within the real estate industry, I have gained expertise in business development, property management and customer service. This has given me a comprehensive understanding of the entire client journey. My approach centres on the importance of acknowledging the unique needs and requirements of each individual, and it is through this personalised approach that I have earned trust and confidence, consistently exceeding expectations. As a sports enthusiast, I have a particular passion for netball and have thoroughly enjoyed supporting my daughter as she pursues her passion for the sport at an elite level. I’ve joined the Property Management team at Barfoot & Thompson Glendene. As the Property Management Administrator, it’s a good feeling sharing with clients that they can sit back and watch the value of their investment property grow over time. The sky’s the limit working for Barfoot & Thompson! Still a family-owned and run company, successfully assisting people with their property needs for more than 100 years. Presently, there are 80 branches in the Northland and Auckland regions and the list is growing with the addition of branches in the Bay of Plenty. Coming from a background in project management, it was my job to lead and coordinate the activities associated with projects. My excellent work ethic enabled me to perform various administrative and technical tasks to ensure the smooth running of processes and systems and I carry this work ethic to my property management role. I live in West Auckland, so working in Glendene is perfect for me – it’s close to home and everything I need is nearby. Life outside of work involves playing soccer competitively and something I really enjoy is being a soccer coach for young kids! Being close to the beautiful West coast beaches indulges my love of surfing and spending time with my dog Rocky is a must! As well as English I speak Portuguese, Spanish, French and Farsi. There is a bit of a story about this - I lived in Brazil when I was younger where I learnt Portuguese. I then learnt Spanish when I lived in Florida, as I was there on a football scholarship and Spanish was easy to learn after knowing Portuguese. I actually learnt French in high school and have been practising it ever since. My parents are from Afghanistan and that is why I speak Farsi.
