Vanessa came highly recommended and certainly lived up to this. Selling and marketing in a very flat market was not easy but Vanessa showed an ability to adapt and pivot to meet that market. Throughout the process she averaged 2 Open Homes as well as several private viewings per week and was always positive that there was a buyer out there. Auckland was dealt some gnarly weather events during this time and, as we live in another region, Vanessa always ensured that the property was tidy and ready for each viewing - right down to getting the leaf blower out on occasions!!!! Her bright, friendly, positive manner made the process so much easier and we would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who is considering selling or buying property.
Straight off the bat, as first-home buyers, we had no experience at all with buying a house, and Vanessa was a godsend to us when we approached her to do a last minute viewing of our future home to be. She dropped everything for a late night viewing and the rest is history. Vanessa is a great realtor she worked very hard to get the price I was happy with and communicated with me right through the selling process. I know at times I gave her a hard time but she hung in there with dignity and humour. I would happily recommend her to sell your home.

Emotionally I wanted to sell my Stillwater house. Financially I did not need to sell it. I could rent it or I could turn it over to rainstorm relief for accommodation for a displaced family. Having bought/sold a couple of properties in the six months prior; two big boy agencies in town were plying me with marketing proposals. (A disclaimer) Vanessa was a neighbour and for that reason I had excluded considering her services until an out-of-town realtor acquaintance strongly recommended, I talk to her. Vanessa pleaded her case so I put the property on the market for 6 weeks as a general agency. That meant the two big boys and Vanessa had equal opportunity to sell my house. The big boys assured me it would be sold within 4 weeks. The property was not sold after 6 weeks but during that time Vanessa had outperformed the combined efforts of the two big-uns by 3+ times. After careful consideration I then gave Vanessa an exclusive agency for one month. During that time, I was impressed by the way Vanessa handled buyers and this was reinforced by comment from my neighbours who were impressed by the way Vanessa showed purchasers through the gardens. (Yes, they were listening from behind the hedge). Vanessa sold the property before the month was up. If you want an agent who has excellent communication, reminds you she works for you the Vendor, and will tell you if she thinks you are making the wrong decision, yet still carry out your instructions; then Vanessa is your agent. I do not expect to be buying again within Vanessa’s territory. If I do then Vanessa will be my first port of call. Over 50 years I have bought / sold many properties in NZ and AU. Vanessa is the best agent I have dealt with.
