We emigrated from NZ and decided to sell our home after a year abroad. Thomas had to work with the existing tenants and property management company to arrange open homes, photos and trades people. He made some great recommendations on how to handle the tenant that kept everyone happy through the process. He went well beyond what I would expect a real estate agent to do, all with the vendors in another country. This was our first house sale and he took us through the process end to end so that we felt comfortable with all aspects of the sale. His evaluation of the home was within the band that we sold for so there were no complaints there, his recommendations were fair within the current market conditions. Despite all this good work before the auction day, I think I really saw his value post auction during the negotiation window. Thomas was able to get the buyer up to a value that we were happy with after negotiating late into the evening. We met Tom in an open home 18 months ago. Timing wasn’t on, but we reached out recently when circumstances changed on us, and we needed to sell quickly. The market in August 2024 was a tough climate for all. With high interest rates and a flood of similar house types to our own on the market it wasn’t going to be easy.
