As first home buyers we were surprised at how smooth the process was, mainly due to the easy and clear communication between everyone involved. As soon as we started discussions Susan was quick to run us through the process and ensure we understood all the steps. Along the way we felt very comfortable contacting and questioning Susan (we did this alot). We would 100% work with Susan and Tall Poppy again.
This is our second home and second time selling with Susan. We love the easy communication and well organised approach - making sure we understand everything well and allowing us to ask her anything at any time.
I really wish I could give a positive review. We started out hopeful and beaming with excitement. Houses were being sold left, right and centre in our area. We talked with Susan months before putting the house on the market and paid for renovations and put in lots of work to make the house more presentable and sell easier. We were reassured how well it was going to sell and that all our hardwork would make it so easy to generate interest and get the price we all wanted. After the first week she suggested we lower the enquiry price below our expected minimum sale price. It felt like she just wanted to make a quick sale even though we had said we were happy to take it slow to get the right price. It took over 30 to 40 minutes after each open home was expected to end to hear if we could re enter our own home. And when we finally heard that it was safe to go home, the most basic information was given about how it went. Something such as : open home went well, there was 2 groups, will follow up later. Almost every single time. I felt like I had to pry any useful insight out but was met with what felt like half assed responses. When I did have questions or concerns, I would list them out in an email or text. Nine times out of ten, none of my questions were answered. Or I would get a defensive response about something entirely different to what I was asking. I am very upset to have to be writing this review, Susan seemed so nice and put on such a soft voice when chatting in person that it seems like she genuinely tried to do a good job. It's very unfortunate because my last experience with a different agent from the same company was such a great experience. Additionally, after months of being on the market, the only offer we received was when Susan was not available during the holidays and another agent who I presume had never seen inside our house took a buyer through. I hope that the other agent is appropriately compensated. Without them this would be a 1 star review.
We asked Susan to market our property after she had successfully sold our previous property in 2020. We're extremely pleased with the marketing Susan had done for the property, and negotiate the sale so well. And it wasn't an easy property to sell due to a few difficult issues, but Susan persisted and got us a great result. Thankyou.
My experience with a property agent was generally positive, as they provided valuable expertise on the local market, actively helped me find suitable properties within my budget, skillfully negotiated on my behalf during the purchase process, and maintained excellent communication throughout the entire transaction, ensuring I was informed every step of the way; however, there were occasional moments where I felt pressured to make quick decisions or felt like certain details were not fully explained.
Hi people, Where to start with Susan? Excellent communication from initial reply when we where seeking both an agent and real estate company. Was on time at property viewing and had really relevant information about the suburb and sales info. Property value - was realistic with what she belived it was worth in this market and her price band was really realistic. Marketing - could not fault Open Homes - really good comms around when and straight afterward comms about both number of viewers and feedback. Hard working, honest, and truly felt she was doing all she could to finalise a sale. Experienced, passionate, trustworthy. Couldnt be happier
