Both her and her assistant were very positive and professional in their approach and gave us the confidence to engage Powers in the selling of our property. The marketing was very good and the need for changes in the selling journey were made seamlessly. The market was difficult, and my price expectation was a challenge for Sara. To her credit she maintained her focus and found a buyer with some challenging expectations and time delays that were frustrating. We did have time on our side but again Sara 'stayed the course', giving us constant feed-back and staying alongside the purchaser and encouraging him to the finish line. I believe her character and passion for the profession was the difference between concluding this sale or just giving up and moving to the next client. Sara is an anomoly in this industry. This is our 25th and final house. I have never met an agent so genuine and patient and professional as Sara. Honestly an amazing person. My families experience with this whole process has been nothing short of harrowing and yet Sara has calmed waters and supported myself and my family when i needed it most. Sara was a different experience of a property agent, from the word go. A warm, kind and thoughtful person, she took the time to know us, hear us and work with our needs as we said goodbye to our beautiful home. After calling around and getting several appraisal's Sara stood out straight away with her very detailed and personal approach, also for the fact she took the time to value my property for what it was and what it had to offer, rather than just what basic local averages were showing on a trend line or spreadsheet. Communication through the process was amazing and Sara really helped me understand the whole listing and sale process which i was finding very daunting and also gave great feedback on what i should do with my property to maximise its potential. The long and short of it is that I highly doubt I would have been confident enough to go through the process without her support, and I’m sure I never would have had the result that I did if it wasn’t for Sara and her wealth of experience. We first met Sara at an Open Home when we were starting to look around for a new home. Although that house wasn't suitable for us, she was happy to help us. I would send through dozens of potential properties from my daily scanning of TradeMe and Sara never once told me I was being a nuisance, even though I felt like I was. She was happy to ring and talk to me about the pros and cons, give me an idea of what the value of that particular property would potentially be, whether it would be in our price range or not, even when she was home in bed sick. She was so approachable and willing to give me her time and attention. Nothing ever felt like it was too much trouble. We were giving up hope of finding something suitable in time and were starting to prepare to move in with our daughter and son-in-law, then out of the blue one Sunday morning she phoned and said, 'have you found anything yet?' to which we said 'no', and she said 'I have the perfect house for you. You have to come and see it this afternoon.' So of course, we dropped everything and came through the open home with her. It was perfect! She had listened to everything we had listed as needing in our next home. We had less than 3 weeks before we were going to be homeless, so she was able to negotiate with the vendors to be able to move in within our tight time frame. The house wasn't particularly clean, and she was able to persuade the vendors to get a commercial cleaner in which we were so grateful for. The thing that really sticks in my mind is she was just as excited as we were to find the right house. It was like she was going to live there too - and we would have been happy to have her. She is just a delight. Honestly, if you are looking for a Real Estate agent who will 100% commit to you, is hard working, doesn't just stick to office hours, talks to you and actually listens to what you say, obviously she is in business but doesn't make it feel that way, you can't go past Sara. She's a star!
