We have known Mark for many years and were confident he would do an outstanding job selling our home. Mark started the marketing campaign with great enthusiasm, which was appreciated. However, there were a few issues during the process that I feel are important to highlight. There appeared to be some uncertainty around the GST aspect of the property, which is a significant detail in any transaction and ideally should have been clarified early on. There were also some practical oversights — for example, a padlock (was consistently) not properly secured on the shed door, and I returned home to find the back door left open the day after an open home. A simple check to ensure all doors were properly locked would have avoided this. While I understand the property is an older home, not a new build, I still expected a higher level of attention to detail and consistency. Communication became less consistent toward the end of the campaign, and as of now, the “SOLD” sign has not yet been displayed on the street billboard. I’m hopeful that will be resolved shortly.

Mark has proven to be a real estate expert. His local knowledge is invaluable and he goes above and beyond to help his clients, whether its making a trip to Bunnings to replace lightbulbs or organising a lawn mow for me at his own expense. I highly recommend Mark for anyone selling their home in the Tauranga area.

Mark was not pleasant to deal with, he would frequently interrupt me when speaking and when I emailed him a query, despite having my contact details, he would call my partner to explain and would not put anything in writing. We made 3x written offers that he refused to show to the vendor’s, when he must present every offer regardless of condition or price. He gave us a hassle around wanting 10-15 working days for a building report, and tried to not pass on our offer to the vendor until we agreed on 5 working days, which was unreasonable and against the advice of our mortgage advisor and solicitor. The agent that replaced Mark when we made a complaint was fantastic! And she deserves the credit for helping us with the purchase.

Mark was absolutely amazing for my partner and I to work with. Our initial conversations around selling our property was 6 years before putting the house on the market, during that 6 years Mark would often reach out and provide market insight to recent sales and market performance. When we decided to sell our existing relationship with Mark made it a "no brainer" to go with him.
