Jo was acting on behalf of estranged siblings, one in NZ (keen to sell), and myself overseas, (ambivalent if sold or not); each with an equal half share in a property. It was therefore a veritable minefield, and a long, difficult process in an as predicted, tanking market. Having taken Jo into my confidence regarding the vendors backgrounds, she kept confidences, was very empathetic and understanding as she had had a similar family experience. Jo was totally professional, and kept me up to date with any market movement, as soon as she had knowledge of same. She listened to my suggestions for a classic beach themed staging and preferred colour palette, which I feel greatly enhanced the property's showing. Jo was able to navigate the listing to a successful sale, and my only regret is that we did not get a chance to meet in person.

When I saw the property that I finally settled on, I was given access to a full and comprehensive set of documents that allowed me to do thorough research and due diligence. As well as that, Joanne had a good knowledge of the complex that I have bought into as well as the area. Although Joanne is acting for the vendor, she has been great in getting answers for any of my concerns and making things as easy as possible. I found dealing with Joanne a real pleasure. She allowed me to go through the property without the pressure of an agent on your shoulder all the way, yet she was nearby to answer questions or concerns. Joanne has also taken my calls when I might have remembered a silly little question. As I write this, Joanne is arranging a meeting with the absent owner, which, for me, is an important thing. Overall, Joanne has made this a great journey.

I would highly recommend Joanne. She respected my wishes by waiting to see the property until the tenant had vacated. From the outset she was positive, professional and pro- active in her approach, always keen to have my interests foremost. The marketing material presented the property to a very high standard, both in description and photography. When the first contract became complicated she remained calm and competent to the point where my lawyer felt she was “exceptional”. In time, an alternative contract was brought to a successful conclusion despite the housing market being so uncertain.

We started our journey with Jo after seeing one of her listings during last year's lockdown restrictions. Despite the restrictions, she was able to accomodate us through multiple viewings. While that particular property didn't work out, Jo never gave up and continued to search for the right house for us.
