We were on a tight deadline to sell a property to buy a house in Kaikoura. We took a chance by making an offer on the property, as we had a couple of people interested in buying our house, but we were still unsure that it would sell given the downturn in current property prices. Janice was very helpful. She arranged a viewing outside of the normal scheduled open homes, as we were from out of town. Janice provided quite a bit of history about the property, including earthquake remedial work that had been undertaken. The property was in our current price range, and does require a little bit of TLC. All things considered, we are happy with our purchase. It was my first time selling my home and I am really lucky that I had Janice to guide me through this process. We were slightly disappointed the vendor was informed of our multi offer before our 1 pm deadline was reached - as we subsequently changed it.
