We have bought 3 properties with Glenn as well as selling one. Glenn knows the Wellington housing market very well, whether million dollar family homes, 1 bed flats in cbd or new builds. Even in an uncertain housing market Glenn has a good understanding and we followed all of his advice when selling our 1 bed flat in Feb 2023 when it was only on the market for 7 days before we received 4 offers with the the new owner moving in 2 weeks later! Glenn is also a genuinely nice person, professional and goes over and above for both sellers & buyers. Highly recommend.
Glenn - who had sold an earlier property for my late husband and I in 2007 - had kept in touch and as we were happy with his work then, I was pleased that his proposal on how to handle the sale of my current home was the best one I received. We bought our current house through Glenn, 7 years ago. We found him funny, genuine, laid back, and willing to meet up with us to view houses at short notice. He was noticeably different from most other agents - he even told us that his approach is just to be honest with clients, as dishonesty will blow back eventually. Glenn has been working as an agent long term, and he's clearly built up trust in clients over that time. After the 7 year interim, we had no hesitation to contact him to sell our house for us. Despite a difficult market, currently, he managed to find buyers. The whole process felt straightforward, and he did an excellent job of brokering between us and the those we're now selling to. His appraisal of our property's value was based on his experience and instinct rather than on pure statistics (i.e. cost per square metre for recent sales in the area), and he was on the money. He provided a much higher initial valuation than the other agent and more importantly achieved a sale price at the top end of that estimate. Glenn was amazing, took the time to really understand what we were going through as a family to let go of the house we lived in for so long. He was always accomodating for us and especially when it came to our mum and made sure that she was comfortable with what was going on with the sale. Mum liked Glenn from the get go and for someone who English is her 2nd language, Glenn always spoke in a clear manner until he knew mum understand and was happy. Glenn, was always working hard to have our home sold for a price we were comfortable with and at no time, put any pressure on us to sell, especially given the market at this time.
