We contacted Harcourts as our local agent to ‘test the market’. Our call was handled incredibly professionally by Holly and she provided us with some options. We landed on Clare, and we are so pleased we did. Clare does exactly what you hope an agent will do. She’s punctual, she’s professional, she’s understanding (selling can be so stressful), and she’s realistic. We have a major aversion to ‘sales people’ and Clare doesn’t fall into this category: she falls into the Marvel Comic SuperWoman category. Nothing is too much trouble, she appears when you need her the most, and her help and advice is always brilliant: the little things make all the difference. She works like a Trooper (we were stunned at the amount of work she puts in). Clare provided an estimate of the value of our property based on the market, but given the issues with COVID she was, we felt, being quite brave as no one could surely know how the market would be. Anyway, she was absolutely spot on with her valuation, with 80% of all of the offers coming in within her expected sales price estimate. A reflection of her ability is the price we got and the number of offers we got: yes the house is nice, but it’s the details that matter and without Clare’s advice we doubt we would have done as well as we did. So, our advice is do not hesitate to contact Clare at Harcourts as you won’t regret it. (we should also mention here Holly, who was awesome [Manager at the office], and Georgia who works on reception - Georgia is ultra switched on and Incredibly professional). So, there’s nothing negative that can be said for Clare, she deserves more than five stars, but there isn’t an option for that.
From the time I paid the deposit on an apartment in Malvina Major in March 2018 until the day the day I finally moved in September 2019 Clare was always there to help with advice over the many delays. I was given five different completion dates by Rymans and I wanted to move straight from home in Khandallah to Burma Road. The house finally went on the market in May 2019 and I was given regular information regarding the number of viewings and interest. I accepted an offer on 31st May to take effect on 31st July and two days later I received a phone call advising me that I would not be moving until mid-September. An email to Clare resulted in a phone call telling me not to worry and she would speak to my purchaser after the long weekend. The outcome was that I rented the upstairs of my house for seven weeks and Clare arranged the tenancy agreement and negotiated the rent - what more can I say but I was more than impressed with the cool and calm way Clare dealt with all the Hiccoughs along the way and I would no hesitation in recommending her PS Talking to other residents who also had to cop-e with this last delay I consider I was very lucky with the solution Clare agreed with my purchaser,
Clare made it as easy as possible to sell my house for the best price. She helped me present it in the best possible way, and helped me get all the documentation together that buyers want to see. She was not pushy but made many helpful suggestions with her practiced eye.
