About Charles

Charles was born in Canterbury and raised on a mixed farm near Ashburton. In the early ‘80s, he moved to a farm in Ngakuru, Rotorua. A few years later, seeking a greater challenge and the opportunity to expand his business, he relocated to a larger hill country sheep and beef property south of Te Kuiti, where he farmed for thirty years. In addition to the experience gained from managing his own farm, Charles chaired his local Federated Farmers District for six years and served on a rural District Council. Family considerations, including the desire to be closer to a larger centre for educational and employment opportunities for his wife and daughter, led to a move to Newstead in 2014. Embracing a new challenge, Charles enjoys his real estate career, which offers him variety and allows him to utilise his people skills and negotiating abilities to help others achieve their goals. His background provides him with a deep understanding of farming, rural life, and community matters. A strong believer in sound financial planning and management, Charles recognises the importance of making informed real estate decisions for long-term success. Focused on helping people achieve excellent results, Charles prioritises clear communication and a ‘no surprises’ approach, working to identify and resolve any issues that may arise. Charles’ straightforward approach of 'doing the right thing’ achieves results and facilitates smoother interactions for both sellers and buyers. Definitely be our first choice

As we had never used a Real Estate Agent before we really didn’t know what to expect, but Charles was extremely easy to work with.
